HomeSense is one of my favourite places to buy quirky, stylish accessories for our home and has been ever since we first stumbled across their huge store in Barton Square at The Trafford Centre (down past that sorta-cool, sorta-creepy piano that plays by itself) a few years ago.

Homesense Blogger's Christmas Party

Following on from our recent house move we’ve now got all of these extra rooms and spaces that need decorating, adorning and jazzing up and so I do like to pop in and see what treasures we can bring home (and they’re especially good for gifts as well).

They definitely seem to have seasonal celebrations sorted as well covering all of the major events throughout the year leading up to everybody’s favourite time of year — CHRISTMAS! *squeals*

As a self-employed mama, I haven’t had a Christmas party this year so I was really excited to be invited along to a Blogger’s Christmas Party hosted by HomeSense at The Lost & Found in Birmingham.

Homesense Lost & Found Event

I loved the gorgeous vintage-style decor at The Lost & Found Cocktail Bar/Restaurant in Birmingham

It was this super beautiful place — oldy-worldy feel, dark wood everywhere, soft lights — and we had our own little space to laugh, drink and ‘be merry’ at ‘The Bar Behind The Bookcase’ function area equipped with a bar of its own (and bartender!), a leather-clad seating booth and another small room for socialising and looking at some of HomeSense’s Christmas decorations on sale this year.

I totally nicked this phrase from Natalie of Plutonium Sox but it was very much like visiting Narnia!

We were tucked away just behind this bookcase in the private function area, a lovely little cubby away from the hustle and bustle of the main floor

The range HomeSense displayed for the party was very gold and glitzy and just seemed to ooze opulence and luxury. As always, the quality was of a high standard with their reputation for decent, value-for-money pricing being proudly upheld.

I couldn’t believe it when I saw that you could get this large Beauty and the Beast style candelabra for just £39.99. It would look just perfect as a centrepiece for the dinner table this year.

I had such a fabulous night drinking prosecco and wine like they were going out of fashion with the barman even making me a special ‘secret’ cocktail that turned out to be some sort of prosecco and elderflower mix that was completely heavenly. Yum!

My ‘secret’ cocktail was absolutely delicious!

I also managed to catch up with some of my Northern blogger friends that I’ve seen at different events across the past few months including Jane from Hodge Podge Days, Rachel from Vintage Folly, Jaime from Not That Jaime Oliver/The Oliver’s Madhouse and the wonderful Lindy from Squidgyboo before meeting Emma from Emma and 3 and Danielle from Someone’s Mum for the first time as well.

The HomeSense Christmas Party was a really lovely event with friendly, inviting hosts on arrival and throughout, the most delicious food (they had halloumi and chorizo skewers, oh my!) and a wonderful, intimate setting and atmosphere. The ideal night for enjoying the company of my fellow bloggers and starting to get ALL of the Christmassy feels!

HomeSense Party Food

The nibbles and food platters at the party were beautiful and completely moreish

A big thank you to HomeSense and HIBS100 for inviting me over to enjoy the event and it really is worth going in and checking out their festive goodies including food and home gifts/sets, decorations, furniture, accessories and other ‘home’ essentials.

Are you a big fan of HomeSense?

Have you bought anything from their Christmas range this year?
