You know, not everything I wear is black or ‘alternative’ especially when it comes to fluttering around in the gorgeous spring/summer weather as we’ve been lucky enough to experience this past week.
The sunshine has been instrumental at lifting my spirits since it peeked through the clouds last weekend and we’ve been enjoying lots of time in the garden and laid back walks to the park or surrounding areas.
I’ve even had to buy sun cream for Lily and I – already, in April, can you believe it?
Anyway, the beautiful warm skies have led me to lock away my chunky knits and break out the summery dresses and ripped dungarees and, as my wardrobe is looking scarily empty, I’ve been thinking about what else I’d like to add to my spring collection…
(1) Spring Playsuit (see below) // (2) Rose Sunglasses // (3) Blowfish Sandals // (4) White Feather & Flower Alice Band // (5) Tan Bucket Bag // (6) Fat Face Denim Jacket (No Longer Available!) // (7) Sterling Silver Pendant
I love the light, breezy look of the floral playsuit from M and M Direct and the colours are beautiful. I can imagine wearing this to BBQs and long, relaxing walks in the sun-soaked evenings.
The sunglasses are a must for the summer months, as are the sandals, and I’ll definitely be buying these shades as they’re such a steal and the rose colour and retro-feel really appeal to my tastes.
I’ve always been a fan of alice bands and I think they’re fabulous to add some flair to a spring-inspired outfit whilst the bucket bag and denim jacket bring a casual edge and are great for ‘grab and go’ days.
Lastly, the sterling silver necklace caught my attention with its intricate design and small – but noticeable – semi-precious stone. I’m sure this would go with just about anything wouldn’t it?
What’s your favourite item from those that I’ve chosen?
Have you bought any new clothes/accessories for spring yet?
