It’s only been about 3 weeks since I shared with you my photographs of Lily’s nursery at our new home and I’ve only gone and moved her to the other side of the house already!
We have a bungalow which can be either 3 bedrooms or 2 bedrooms with a dining/reception room. We’d originally gone for the latter and used the bigger back bedroom as the dining room (the largest room apart from the living room).
However, the dining room also doubled as a playroom and the cats had adopted the room as well so it didn’t really have a purpose. As we’re so busy, we don’t use the dining table as I wish we did and it’s usually covered in stuff that I need to review or paperwork I need to look at, a right mess!
It felt like a bit of a dumping ground and I just couldn’t stand it at all.
I really thought it could be put to much better use so I decided to switch it with Lily’s room so she could make use of the additional space with all of her new Christmas toys and the bits and bobs she’s getting for her birthday in a few weeks as well.
It’s a very girly room in terms of the decor with pink and purple roses on the wall and a sweet-coloured pink carpet so it’s lovely for a young girl.
She absolutely loves that her teepee is in her room and I feel like the whole room works much better than it did previously.
There’s also tons of storage space with two huge built-in cupboards with sliding doors and high handles so she won’t be able to open them by herself.
What do you think?
I’m completely over the moon with the changes we’ve made and it’s such an improved space for her 🙂
