STELLA BY STELLA MCCARTNEY EDT // VEGAN FRAGRANCE

I open the bottle, spray my wrist gently and the memories come flooding back…

Do you remember making your own perfume from garden flowers when you were younger? My Grandma would let me pick petals from her rose bushes and mix them with water, stirring them with a wooden spoon, before draining the petals and dosing myself in the sweet scent of the rose water I’d created.

I didn’t have a care in the world. The sun was shining, the breeze was warm and I was probably around 10 years old playing with the girl next door whilst we made our flowery potions.

Stella McCartney EDT Spray

Stella by Stella McCartney Eau De Toilette

Released back in 2003, Stella by Stella McCartney has become a cult classic in the vegan community. A perfect fragrance for the transition into Spring, it is light, floral and fresh.

The uplifting, modern notes remind me of the summer holidays where I spent days playing on the beach or going for long walks up the hills. The memories are good, just like the scent. It’s almost moreish, so sweet and inviting with romantic, rosy tones.

“This unique scent opens with top notes of fresh mandarin and frozen lemon, balanced with watery tones of freesia to create a soft, dewy feeling. Infusing the feminine floral heart of Bulgarian rose essence with crunchy violet leaves and delicate peony petals, brings a freshness to the fragrance. While amber gris base notes reveal a sensual undertone.” (Stella McCartney)

Perfect for everyday use, Stella is a gentle, soft and dewy fragrance that wears well. It’s easily my new favourite scent and I’ll definitely be buying it again next year (I usually switch things up with the seasons!)

PerfumeClick.co.uk

I received my Stella EDT 30ml spray from PerfumeClick.co.uk who very kindly provided a gift voucher to cover the cost of my fragrance and delivery in return for a review. As always, all opinions and words are completely my own.

I thought I’d compare prices with a popular high street retailer — known for discounted perfumes — and they quoted an extra ten pounds (£41.50) for the Stella EDT spray compared to the lower £31.95 price from PerfumeClick.co.uk.

Choosing standard delivery for £1.95 (next day delivery is an option if needed), I received my order in just a few short days with helpful shipping updates via text and email.

The PerfumeClick.co.uk website is easy to use and if you place an order with them you’ll benefit from free returns, free delivery on orders over £50 and multi-item discounts.

Have you tried the Stella EDT before? How do you think it compares to the original Stella EDP? (And would that be a good choice for the autumn and winter months when they roll around?)
